Is this a real recall search?
No. It is a local VIN format check and a reference preview. We do not query a recall database. Recall status always remains “Not checked.” Use the official NHTSA lookup (opens a new tab) for US recall information.
What VIN format does this tool accept?
Exactly 17 Latin letters and numbers, without I, O, or Q. Spaces are removed and letters are capitalized. This is a format-only check: it does not verify a check digit or the existence of the VIN. It does not support shorter historical vehicle identifiers.
Is my VIN sent anywhere or saved?
The app keeps the entered VIN in the current page only. It does not send it to a server, put it in a URL, or store it in cookies or browser storage. The official lookup link does not include your VIN. See our Privacy page for hosting and analytics details.
Why is “Get full report” unavailable?
The second window is a static template preview. A full vehicle report is not connected to this version. Its button is intentionally disabled, and no payment or download is offered.
What should I do about a recall notice?
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and contact the manufacturer or an authorized dealer. This website cannot assess a vehicle’s condition or replace official safety guidance.
